Newsletter May 2006
Hi,
Welcome to the first newsletter from Target investigations & Security. You have either received this as you are a current client, have previously been a client or have connections from within the company.
We have some exciting news that we want to share with all our valued clients.
Website:
Firstly we recently launched our website (www.targetpi.co.nz). We would welcome any feedback and comments regarding our site.
As a part of this site we have an area where those already not subscribed may do so to this newsletter in strict confidence. This will be sent out regularly with a variety of information, facts and business tips relating to investigations, risk management and security. We also hope that you will forward this on to as many people as possible.
Risk Management:
Within the structure of Target we have formed a new division to look after the ever increasing subject of risk management within business. It is called Target Risk Management (TRM). This will be managed by Craig Ellmers who has 17 years experience within the financial sector prior to moving to the private sector. Craig has worked for a number of large banks in New Zealand holding senior management positions under business risk management and financial fraud.
We see this as a commonsense addition to compliment our security division. We are now able to challenge and stress test the logical and physical risk aspects to businesses. It is a much needed service to the business community in line with good corporate governance.
If you feel you need further information on this please give me or Craig a call.
Substance Abuse:
This is another area we are finding of increasing importance particularly within the workplace. We now have a range of quality products and services for all aspects of workplace and personal drug and alcohol detection available at competitive prices.
We have experienced and professional staff to respond to your needs.
The Health and Safety Act 1992 imposes a legal obligation on employers to ensure the safety of employees while at work. It is widely acknowledged that employees under the influence of substance create a potential hazard.
We are now able to assist business with policy design, development and training as well as on site screening programmes. We can also enhance any existing policy or programme.
The best news of all is that ACC is offering up to 10% discount on levies for small businesses (up to 20 people) in high risk industries (including agriculture, road freight, construction, motor trades, forestry and fishing). This should cover any expense in setting up policy.
Incentives are also offered to larger businesses and are covered in other ACC schemes.
Contact me if you require further information regarding this service.
Investigations:
My senior investigator Sam Hanna is continuing to achieve some great results. If you have a concern within your business, Sam is the one to call. He has over 35 years experience within the New Zealand Police and private investigation sector and is considered one of New Zealand’s leading investigators.
Competition:
Over the months of May, June and July – all new subscribers will go into the draw for a free 2 hour security appraisal (valued at $500).
So this is your opportunity to spread the word. Look out for our regular competitions as they may be of interest to your company.
Conclusion:
If there is anything you wish to discus with me please give me a call or drop me an email. I look forward to helping you.
Kind Regards,
Gary Howarth
